Today I would like to let you know about a great site that help animals and more. All you have to do is click and the advertisers (on the site only-they won't contact you) will pay for food. To start, go to:

http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=3

Click on the purple bar and you have just helped feed shelter and rescue animals. The other tabs are also good causes and it only takes a minute to go through them all. Make it your home page and you won't forget to click everyday. 100% of sponsor advertising fees goes to their charitable partners which are listed on the site. This is an easy karma point for anyone with a computer, which includes you, if you are reading this!

Let's see if I can get this one posted. I tried to write an update after my last trip to CA but it got lost somewhere either in the computer or cyberspace.

This last weekend I exhibited at the TICA (The International Cat Association) show at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. It was my first ever cat show and I saw some unusual cats. Munchkins have very short legs-they look "normal" while laying down but standing up they are unusually short and look exceptionally long.

The owners of most of the show cats understandably do not want their animals handled and petted during the show. Fortunately my neighboring vendor had 4 Tonkinese kittens, 2 for sale, and let me hold them off and on during the day. They were the sweetest little things and helped ease my need to pet something.

Although my style of photography is different than the usual cat show images, I was asked to be the photographer at the Waxahachie TICA show hosted by the Turkish Van Cat Connection October 31 and November 1. I am excited about the opportunity to photograph the varied cats. Cats are the hardest creatures I have photographed so it will be a fun challenge. Show cats seem more used to new things and don't get as rattled as house cats do but the owners have higher expectations. I'll let you know how it goes.
